Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Wayfinder ("we", "us", "our"), a web application operated by Macoredex ("Company"), accessible at macoredex.com and related domains.

By creating an account or using Wayfinder you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Account registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use Wayfinder.

2. Description of the service

Wayfinder is a job-search management tool. It helps you find, organize, and track job applications and optionally generates tailored resumes and cover letters using AI. Wayfinder never submits an application on your behalf — you always review and submit yourself.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Wayfinder offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time through the Manage Billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no prorated refunds are issued for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice by email. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Wayfinder for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the service
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes intellectual property rights
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service without written consent

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (resumes, cover letters, professional history, notes). By uploading content you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide and improve the service.

We do not sell your content or share it with third parties for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. AI-generated content

Wayfinder may generate resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation materials using artificial intelligence. AI output is provided as a drafting aid — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all content before use. We make no guarantee of accuracy, suitability, or completeness of AI-generated content.

7. Third-party services

Wayfinder integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and external job board APIs. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

8. Intellectual property

All rights in the Wayfinder service, including software, design, and branding, are owned by Macoredex. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written consent.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Wayfinder is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Macoredex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days of account deletion.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
